Santiago 2023
The Santiago 2023 Organizing Committee named Van Wagner the official sport presentation producer of the Pan American and Parapan American Games, which involved a complex network of athletic competitions and live performances taking place over 19 days, across multiple venues.
The 2023 Pan American Games featured a wide array of sports that pushed the boundaries of athleticism and entertainment. From traditional sports like hockey and swimming to contemporary events like surfing, breaking, sport climbing, BMX Freestyle, and skateboarding, the games offered something for everyone.
The 425 events across 39 sports, spread across 41 venues, required meticulous planning and execution. Van Wagner’s expertise allowed them to seamlessly transition between the different sports, ensuring that the audience remained engaged throughout the multi-day competition. The team included production specialists from 21 different countries which added a rich cultural flavor to the presentation, making it more inclusive and authentic.
The result was an electrifying atmosphere for athletes, and memorable experiences for the millions of families and fans who traveled to Chile or tuned-in to watch around the globe. As a key partner, Van Wagner led the charge in designing and executing a cutting-edge sport presentation strategy. We planned and produced all facets of the live, multi-day sporting event including detailed programming, originally composed music, development of video, graphics, and content to educate and engage spectators, entertainment and artist performances (flashmob dancers, skydivers), music, audio, and more.
This marked our third time leading sport presentation for Pan Am Sports, following successful production of the 2019 Pan American Games in Lima and the 2021 Junior Pan American Games in Cali Valle. Other multi-sport events include:
