Boston, MA – Boston College Athletics announced a groundbreaking partnership with Van Wagner, a leading collegiate athletics marketing agency. Van Wagner will become the Eagles’ new, exclusive multimedia rights holder and oversee the corporate sponsorship program starting in June for the 2024-25 academic year.

Van Wagner has become recognized for its unique and holistic sales approach and collaborative and transparent financial model that consistently delivers historic returns for the Universities and Conferences it represents. Specifically, Van Wagner will focus on maximizing the value of corporate sponsorship opportunities across various platforms and multimedia assets, including prominent venue signage, broadcast rights and exposure, digital and social media properties, and engagement and activation. This strategic collaboration marks Van Wagner’s first MMR agreement with a P4 Conference member, signaling a significant milestone for both organizations.

“As we approach this transformative period in intercollegiate athletics, we sought to form a partnership with a company that aligns with our values, puts us in a position of strength, and allows for continued growth in the marketplace, “said Blake James, the William V. Campbell Director of Athletics at Boston College.  “We are excited to join forces with Van Wagner to manage our multimedia and corporate sponsorship rights and look forward to what the partnership will bring in the years to come.”

“Boston College is an iconic brand that best reflects the finest values of college sports both on and off the field which, when packaged appropriately, will deliver the unique and authentic relationship that Corporate America is seeking,” said Mike Palisi, President of Van Wagner College. “We are honored that Blake James and the Boston College leadership have entrusted Van Wagner during this most important time in college athletics. I am confident that together we will redefine the multi-media rights space with our model that is built to maximize institutional control and returns while providing the nimbleness necessary to meet emerging institutional needs.”

Van Wagner, recognized as the fastest, organically grown collegiate multimedia rights company in the industry, represents nearly 50 colleges, universities, and conferences nationally.  Drawing upon its extensive experience in collegiate sports, Van Wagner has a proven track record of delivering tangible results with a partnership model designed to optimize the value of multimedia rights and increase fan engagement on campuses. The agency will build new opportunities for Boston College Athletics and for corporate sponsors and media partners, while also expanding upon existing collaborations.

“We are incredibly pleased that we have retained General Manager Mike Winn and his team to continue to lead our local efforts on behalf of BC,” added Palisi. “Mike and his team are truly a part of the BC community and we look forward to working with them as we help write this next chapter for the sponsorship program.”

In addition to making strategic investments aimed at enhancing the overall experience for Eagles’ fans, Van Wagner will collaborate closely with College leadership on naming rights initiatives and work side-by-side to provide guidance to student-athletes in navigating NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) opportunities within the parameters of NCAA regulations.
