About the A&P Mechanic Role

We are looking for an energetic, skilled, self-motivated A&P Mechanic to join our team full-time at our location at Compton Airport in LA. While the hangar will reflect our South Florida location to an extent.  This is an excellent opportunity for those who want the freedom to set up shop according to their personal preferences.

Essential Job Duties include, but are not limited to:
  • 100 Hours/Annual inspections, repair, modify and refurbish Piper Super Cubs.
  • Logbook entries, AD research, compliance, Use of manuals drawings, and checklist.
  • Airframe troubleshooting, repair, corrosion removal and treatment, fabric repair, painting, component removal, repair, rig, and installation.
  • Track All inspections, time-critical systems, transponders, engines, propellers, tools and work with vendors to ensure completion.
  • Engine troubleshooting, corrosion removal, painting, component removal, repair and install 4-cylinder Lycoming.
  • Minor sheet metal fabrication and repair, fabric install and repair, fiberglass.
  • Parts procurement, management, and restocking for required tasks.
  • Basic electrical troubleshooting, replacement of components, repair, and installation.
  • Maintains a clean, safe working environment.
What We’re Looking For: 
  • 3 – 7 years of experience
  • Must be able to speak, read, and write English
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and the position regularly requires sitting, standing, bending, reaching, and moving about the facility.
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays with summer months being the busiest, in support of flight and ground operations.
  • Must be flexible to travel as needed to the Miami area for catch-up maintenance and aircraft teardowns.
  • Must have a clean driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug test and submit to random testing when required.
Preferred but not necessary:
  • Fabric experience a plus.
  • Experience in a general aviation maintenance shop environment.
  • Quality control process familiarization or applicable work experience under a quality program.
  • Familiarization with 14 CFR Part 91, or Applicable work experience under 14 CFR Part 135, Part 145, Part 121, or United States Military.
  • Inspection Authorization.
