Coastal Carolina University Athletics and Van Wagner Announce Multimedia Rights Partnership

NEW YORK (July 22, 2021) - Van Wagner and the Coastal Carolina University Department of Athletics announced a long-term partnership naming Van Wagner as the Chanticleers’ exclusive multimedia rights partner and sales agent for the department’s corporate sponsorship program.

With the significant success our athletics program the climate was right to pursue a rights holder, a first for CCU Athletics, and Van Wagner stepped to the plate with a strong plan and strategy for expanding and growing our corporate sponsorship program. We look forward to welcoming their team into Teal Nation,” said Matt Hogue, CCU’s vice president for intercollegiate athletics.

Van Wagner will launch a local team dedicated to represent CCU in the marketplace with a commitment to enhancing the in-venue experience for sponsors, business partners and a growing and dedicated fan base. In collaboration with CCU Athletics, Van Wagner will handle the integration of corporate sponsorship across multimedia assets including prominent venue signage, broadcast rights and digital and social media outlets.

Coastal Carolina University is a member of the Sun Belt Conference, also a Van Wagner partner, along with fellow Conference member institution Georgia State University. In 2020, Coastal Carolina football ranked No. 14 nationally in the final top 25 polls of the season, a Sun Belt record.
